This dataset includes normalised half-hourly profiles of the heat production and energy consumption of air-source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, gas boilers and resistance heaters based on the UK average daily outside air temperature profile from 2013.
The normalised profiles have been temperature corrected based on the number of degree days difference between a typical year and year 2013. Hence, the sum of the values of a normalised heat production profile is equal to 0.961203 instead of 1. 
The annual heat demand from "Annual_heat_demand_by_LSOA.csv" and the normalised profiles can be used to estimate half-hourly profiles for heat production and energy consumption for heating over a year. 

Example:
In the LSOA E01000044, there are 40 detached houses with gas boilers. Average heat supplied in a year by each gas boiler (i.e. average annual heat demand of each house) is 14,482 kWh which leads to total 579,280 kWh heat supplied by 40 gas boilers. To synthesise the half-hourly heat production and gas demand of these houses, the normalised profiles are multiplied by the annual heat supplied by the gas boilers such as, for each timestep t:
Normalised_Gas_boiler_heat (t) x 579,280 => Half-hourly heat production from gas boilers
Normalised_Gas_boiler_gas (t) x 579,280 => Half-hourly gas consumption from gas boilers
